Eileen spent a lot of this month working with architects and designers to come up with a
design for the strawbale house. Strawbale houses are a new concept in Bulgaria - we
know of only one another built by a British couple in the south of the country, near the
Greek border. Nikolay, our Bulgarian architect, was very helpful and imaginative, providing
excellent advice every step of the way including steering the plans through the local
municipality.
Seth, Kalloyan and I worked in the garden, building a path, planting bushes and creating a
fire pit, which we then baptised with beer and peanuts:
